Vapeboss – One tip to keep your vape safer during use is to pay attention to the "wrap" condition of your vape battery. This is similar to when you own valuable items and constantly check their condition.
The battery is an essential component for our vape to function. Unlike common batteries such as AA, AAA, etc., vape batteries have a special numerical code and more power. Some laypeople or beginners who want to try vaping may not know much about these batteries and may not understand vape battery safety guidelines.
Vape batteries use 18650 and 21700 Lithium-ion batteries, which are typically used in portable electronic devices and support recharging. Due to their high power, these batteries tend to have a high mAh or battery life to ensure longer use. Because the batteries used for vaping are different from ordinary batteries, their maintenance is also different.
The battery wrap is the covering of the battery. The battery wrap does not affect the performance of the battery but functions as an insulator so that the battery does not make contact anywhere other than its terminals. Vape batteries have a wrap in the form of a plastic cover or similar material that protects the inside of the battery. It can be said that if the battery cover is not torn or peeled, the battery is still suitable for use. However, if the battery cover is damaged, stop using the battery to avoid short circuits and immediately go to the nearest vape shop to have it rewrapped.
Batteries used for vaping must be healthy, and their wraps must not be peeled off. If the wrap is peeled off, it is highly recommended to replace it with a new wrap immediately. This is a trivial matter but very risky when the plastic battery protector starts to peel off, the reason being that it is very unsafe for vaping, even very dangerous. A battery without a wrap can make contact with its body at any time it touches metal, causing a short circuit and explosion.
Batteries are already wrapped from the factory. Rewrapping a battery is only done if the original battery wrap is damaged. To identify a genuine battery and not a rewrapped one, you can purchase it from an official and trusted vape shop, check the seal and packaging of the battery, and if necessary, use the QR code on the battery for more detailed information.
