Vapeboss – Microsoft revealed that Sony plans to release a PlayStation 5 (PS5) Slim console in 2023. The PS5 Slim is rumored to have slimmer dimensions than the previously released PS5 version. This information was included in a document provided by Microsoft to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) in court.

The case involving the FTC concerns Microsoft's alleged market monopoly in the gaming industry due to their plan to acquire the gaming company Activision Blizzard. In the document, Microsoft stated that the PS5 Slim would launch this year and be priced the same as the PS5 Digital Edition.

"As usual, we predict Sony will release a PS5 Slim in 2023 at the same price as the PS5 Digital Edition, which is 400 US dollars (around 6 million Rupiah)," Microsoft wrote in the document.

Microsoft did not specify when the PS5 Slim would launch or where they obtained information about it. However, this statement seems to align with previous rumors claiming that Sony would launch a PS5 with a separate, detachable disc slot.

Reportedly, a PS5 with this model will be introduced in September 2023. If this is indeed the PS5 Slim, then this other PS5 console model might be launched two months from now. However, it is still uncertain whether the information provided by Microsoft is accurate.
