Vapeboss – Shin Kamen Rider, a Japanese superhero who first appeared in 1971 on Japanese television, is getting a reboot (remake) film in 2023. For some people, including tokusatsu fans in Indonesia, they might recognize this character as Satria Baja Hitam (Black Steel Knight) because it was aired on Indonesian television channels.

The good news is that Shin Kamen Rider 2023 officially started showing in Indonesian cinemas on June 30, 2023. What makes this film special is that its story has been adapted into a more mature format, with a dark and brutal feel. This is certainly an appeal for Indonesian tokusatsu fans who are no longer children.

Shin Masked Rider will start showing in Indonesian cinemas on June 30, 2023, with limited Sneak Previews at certain locations starting on June 28, 2023.

Ticket sales for the Shin Masked Rider fan screening have already begun for showings on Saturday, June 24, at CGV Grand Indonesia, and Sunday, June 25, at Cinepolis Senayan Park. Tickets, priced at Rp 150,000, including a mini poster and limited edition merchandise, were met with tremendous enthusiasm by impatient Kamen Rider fans.

The film tells the story of Takeshi Hongo (Sosuke Ikematsu), a motorcyclist kidnapped by the evil organization SHOCKER and transformed into a half-grasshopper cyborg.

As the film progresses, Hongo also meets Hayato Ichimonji (Tasuku Emoto), another half-grasshopper cyborg created by SHOCKER. Not only that, Ruriko and Hongo are also assisted by Taki (Takumi Saitoh) and Tachibana (Yutaka Takenouchi), two mysterious government agents.
