Vapeboss – Hello vapers! Welcome back to Vaporistalk's article content, where we discuss all things vape with the reliable and professional vaporistas from Vapeboss. This time's theme is vaper segmentation, and the one presenting this theme is Mas Fatkhur, a vaporista from Vapeboss Sidoarjo Alun-Alun branch. So, for vaper friends who live in Sidoarjo or pass through the area, you can drop by and share with Mas Fatkhur.
Okay, without further ado, let's discuss vaper segmentation with Mas Fatkhur, let's check it out!
First of all, Mas Fatkhur explained that there are 3 types of vape customer segments or vapers, namely Entry-level, Mid-range, and Expert. Each segment has its own characteristics and certainly requires different service from the vaporista. Therefore, the purpose of these segments is for you vapers to know which segment you belong to and to be able to determine what you want when you come to a vape store.
"There are 3 customer segments, sir: entry-level, mid-range, and expert. Well, these three have different types and characteristics, so we will adjust our service to these customers to help them more," he explained.
Mas Fatkhur said that the first category is entry-level vapers. In this segment, they are beginner customers who don't yet know what they want, as long as it's cheap, simple, durable, with an average budget below Rp 300,000.
"First is entry-level, they usually look for cheap, simple, and durable vapes with a certain budget, usually around 300k. Well, for this type of customer, I usually recommend using disposable vapes first, because disposables only last about a week, then they can decide whether they want to continue vaping or not. Then, if they want to continue, we give them a pod and salt nic liquid," said Mas Fatkhur.
Next, the second category is mid-range vapers. Mas Fatkhur stated that they usually directly look for ready-to-use vape devices, such as pods, pod kits, and mod kits. In addition, they sometimes want to upgrade their devices to try new vaping sensations.
"Well, as for mid-range, they sometimes directly look for pods, upgrade pods to pods, want to go back to using pods, and want to try mods. The devices they look for are usually kits, so they are ready-to-use, just drip the liquid. As for the liquid pattern, they definitely want low nicotine, like 3mg freebase and salt nic below 30mg," he said.
Lastly, there are expert vapers. According to Mas Fatkhur, expert vapers are those who already know and have a plan for what product they are looking for when they come to a vape store. Sometimes, expert vapers don't want their choices to be challenged, but there are also those who are open to alternatives besides what they chose.
"The last one, sir, is experts. Vapers like them always have their own choices when they come to the store, they already know what they want to buy, and if they've chosen it, that's it. But there are also those who are open to alternatives other than their choice, but it depends on their familiarity with the vaporista," Mas Fatkhur said.
"Oh yes, sir, and this too, experts definitely use mods, and they rarely buy new mods. They usually look for atomizers, either RDA or RTA, then when they come, they immediately look for prebuilt coils, bacon cotton, kendo cotton, and holy fiber. Their liquids are also mostly 3mg and above nicotine," he added.
However, besides these three segments, there is something that confuses Mas Fatkhur. Mas Fatkhur said there is a type of vaper that confuses him, those are vapers who follow trends, meaning vapers who vape only for lifestyle.
"There's one more, sir, and this always confuses me about which segment they belong to. Because these people vape for lifestyle and always look for products that are trending on social media, so it's hard to categorize them," he concluded.
That concludes Vaporistalk Vol. 7, which discusses vaper segmentation. Hopefully, this article is useful for you, and make sure to fulfill your vape needs at Vapeboss. See you in the next Vaporistalk!
