On its 11th anniversary, Vapeboss—one of Indonesia's largest vape companies—once again carried out its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program as part of its commitment to Net Zero Emissions.

This year, Vapeboss collaborated with LindungiHutan to plant 5,000 mangrove trees in the Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism area, Surabaya.

This step is a concrete manifestation of Vapeboss's efforts to offset the carbon emissions generated from the company's operational activities. Through mangrove planting, Vapeboss not only contributes to carbon emission reduction but also supports long-term environmental sustainability.

This program affirms Vapeboss's commitment to continue making positive contributions to the environment and society through sustainable green actions.

Why Mangroves?

Mangroves are chosen for their ability to absorb significant amounts of carbon.

This stored carbon is called blue carbon, which is carbon trapped in the soil and absorbed up to 10 times faster than tropical forests.

Mangroves also have other advantages, such as:

• Absorbing 4x more carbon per hectare than terrestrial forests.
• Storing carbon long-term as it is trapped in muddy soil.
• Playing a globally important role in reducing global warming.

Each mangrove tree can help absorb approximately 8 KgCO₂eq per year. With the planting of 5,000 trees, the total absorption potential reaches around 40,000 KgCO₂eq, or equivalent to 40 Tons CO₂eq per year.

This capacity certainly helps reduce the impact of climate change and creates cleaner air.

In addition to ecological benefits, this program also provides social value by involving and empowering communities around coastal areas.

LindungiHutan: Together Greening Indonesia

For 8 years, LindungiHutan has continuously strived to preserve Indonesia's nature through planting activities and conservation actions involving many parties.

Currently, LindungiHutan runs greening programs in more than 40 planting locations across Indonesia. Their focus is simple: to create a healthier environment and stronger ecosystems for future generations.
