Safe Vaping, Happy Pets.
Are you a vaper? Do you have pets?
Having pets at home doesn't mean it will disrupt your vaping activities. However, when vaping, you need to consider some safety aspects when pets are around, and your pets will feel comfortable being around you when you vape. Here are some safety precautions to keep in mind.
Secure your mod/pod device and all its accessories
Just like when you keep your food out of reach of your pets at home, like storing it in a safe place where your pets cannot get to your food. This is especially true for accessories that are easily eaten or chewed, such as RDAs, batteries, and so on. So when you're done vaping or charging your vape battery, keep them out of sight from your pets so there's no risk of them being chewed, eaten, or even swallowed, for example, by dogs or cats that often like to chew and lick things.
If you can't hide or store these items, you can also clean them so they are clean and free of germs. Even though there's still a risk of your pets getting to them, at least your belongings are clean.
Use non-nicotine liquid when vaping around your pets
Sometimes many vapers only have 1-2 liquids, all of which contain nicotine, whether low or high. It is important to know that nicotine contains chemical compounds that are harmful to animals, and animals usually show signs of discomfort when you vape with nicotine liquid around them. Therefore, buy and use non-nicotine liquid so your pets feel comfortable when you vape around them, considering that non-nicotine liquids are much cheaper than nicotine-containing liquids.
Avoid vaping in enclosed spaces
When you vape in an enclosed space, the clouds or vapor produced by your device will fill the room and can cause discomfort for your pets. So it is more advisable that when you vape in an enclosed space, try to ensure your pets are not around you so they are not bothered by the accumulated clouds. Or when you vape indoors, try to have openings in your room like windows or vents that are open so the clouds can escape. There's also another way when you vape indoors, but there are small gaps or openings where your pets can freely go in and out, then there's no problem vaping in that place, because your pets will leave if they feel uncomfortable with your vaping activity.
Avoid exhaling directly towards your pets
This point is very important. Sometimes you often act mischievous or playful and want to blow clouds at something, but there's no suitable medium you can think of, so you exhale and blow it directly at your pets. This is highly unrecommended because your pets will inhale a lot of the clouds you produce, and it's highly likely that the vapor compounds you blow will stick and settle on your pet's skin. As a result, if your pet has an allergy to any of the compounds present, it can cause various harmful diseases for your pets.
So, those were some tips for vaping when your pets are around. Hope it's useful and stay safe while vaping.
