Vapeboss – Three men, identified by their initials DWS (24), EWS (23), and RH (20), were caught by a shop attendant while attempting to break into a vape shop on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Kroya, Cilacap. The Head of Public Relations for the Cilacap Police Resort, Iptu Gatot Tri Hartanto, stated that the attempted theft occurred on Sunday (March 26, 2023) in the early hours, around 01:50 AM WIB.

"Eventually, the shop attendant reported the incident to the Kroya Police, which was followed up with the arrest of the three perpetrators," Gatot explained.

During the arrest, the police secured several pieces of evidence used by the three young men when breaking into the shop, including a crowbar, a screwdriver, a padlock, gloves, a jacket, a hat, and a plastic bucket.

"We also secured a black Honda Supra Fit motorcycle, with license plate R 4719 KE, which they used as a means to commit the theft," he added.

Gatot stated that these three young men would be charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code. They face a potential sentence of four years in prison each.

From the investigation, this was not the first time they had attempted to break into the vape shop. The three young men had previously been caught damaging the padlock and breaking through the shop's wall on March 21, 2023. However, at that time, the perpetrators managed to escape.

"They repeated their previous failed attempt but were caught this time," Gatot said.
