Vapeboss – Johnny Suh, or more commonly known as Johnny NCT, garnered praise for attending the Gold Gala 2023. Johnny's presence at the prestigious Gold Gala 2023 was as a representative of NCT, after previously attending a similar event, the Met Gala 2022.

With a good physique and tall body proportion, Johnny NCT arrived at the Gold Gala 2023 wearing a formal black and white outfit. At the event, he also shared moments and took photos with fans. The pictures were uploaded on his personal Instagram account, NCT's official Instagram account, and Twitter.

However, among the uploaded photos, something caught the attention of NCT fans, also known as NCTzens. In a photo where Johnny is in a hotel room with a white bed and sofa in the background, fans highlighted an object suspected to be Johnny's vape lying on the sofa, next to his smartphone.

Seeing the blue vape in Johnny's photo uploaded by NCT's official account, fans recalled when the leader, Taeyong NCT, warned about vapes. A few years ago, Taeyong warned his members with a piece of paper that read "No Vape" at the airport. Johnny was seen playfully throwing a tantrum then.

"Taeyong warned Johnny about the No Vape sign at the airport and Johnny showed a bit of a tantrum because of it (crying-laughing emoji)," wrote @jjhjs97995.

Following this incident, NCT's official Twitter account was flooded with comments from netizens. These comments included:
