SVH, or better known as Surabaya Vape Heroes, is an ideal event medium to introduce vape products to the general public in Indonesia today. The annual vape expo, held on July 2-3, 2022, will take place at Jatim Expo, Surabaya.

Reportedly, this SVH expo will feature numerous booths from various brands, distributors, and vape businesses in Indonesia. In addition, SVH will also bring in singers and national bands as guest stars to liven up the event for two days.

Puguh, as an SVH event organizer, stated that this year's SVH event carries the theme "Surabaya Vape Heroes 2022 'Urban Culture, Be Heroes Be Inspiring'," and he is confident that this theme can fulfill the desire of vapers who miss gathering. Not only that, but Puguh also wants to provide education and facilities for socialization to the attending visitors.

"At SVH 2022, we are adopting the theme: Urban Culture, Be Heroes Be Inspiring, which means we will revive the culture among vapers, and Urban as a means for us to provide socialization and education for friends who attend," said Puguh.

"The guest stars on the first day are Coldiac and Fiersa Besari, and on the second day, there will be Guyon Waton and Mr Jono Joni," he added.

Besides that, Puguh also briefly recounted the history of SVH's formation, which originated from vape communities in Surabaya, and the process of SVH from its early days to becoming one of the three largest expo events in Indonesia. This certainly makes SVH a perfect event medium for branding and awareness concepts.

"As far as I know, SVH was born in 2017 at Gema 45 Surabaya; at that time, it was still just a vape bazaar. The committee members were representatives from vape communities in Surabaya. Then, seeing the high enthusiasm and attendance of now-large vape brands like Hero57, Juicenation, etc., in 2018, I just joined SVH 10 days before the event. At that time, the SVH event was held in the Delta Plaza Surabaya parking lot, and it was already a semi-outdoor expo. Coincidentally, the event was crowded, and brands felt that the treatment we provided was next-level vape branding," he explained.

Puguh admitted that in previous years, specifically in 2019 when SVH became a big expo, his team faced various obstacles. However, in the end, SVH continued and set a Muri record that no other vape event had achieved.

"In 2019, SVH began to develop because we dared to move forward as a large-scale vape expo at Jatim Expo. Moreover, at that time, we achieved a Muri record for successfully collecting 15,000 used liquid bottle waste from visitors and vape communities throughout East Java."

"We were also tested at SVH 2019; there was a lot of criticism from people saying it was too expensive, that we were scavengers, because it was the first time we held a vape event that used an entry fee. But we also offered a concession: one ticket could be exchanged for 5 used liquid bottles. It was also the first time we brought in artists, Anji and Fourtwenty, as guest stars, so it was clearly crowded, even divided in Surabaya," he concluded.

Puguh added that many people thought SVH had stopped since its last event in 2019. In reality, due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia, his team postponed SVH, which was supposed to be in 2020 but could only be realized in 2022.

"Many people thought SVH stopped in 2020; actually, it was postponed because of COVID, and many also thought SVH was an event organizer. But I'm happy because from that, people became curious and wanted to get to know SVH," he said.

At the SVH 2022 event, Puguh guarantees that this event will be even more spectacular than previous years because of the many benefits that can be gained through SVH 2022.
