The Jakarta International Vape Expo 2022 or JIVE 2022 was successfully held on May 28-29 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta. At the event, Rhomedal Aquino, as the organizer of JIVE Expo 2022 and founder of Vapepackers, thanked everyone who came to enliven JIVE, especially vapers, business owners, sponsors, and Rhomedal's closest friends who supported the event.

"I would like to thank all the vapers, stakeholders, exhibitors, main sponsor Juragan99, and friends like Uncle Raymond Vapeboss, Ekohc who supported the JIVE event yesterday," said Rhomedal when contacted by the Vapeboss Indonesia team (7/6/2022).

According to Rhomedal, the atmosphere during JIVE was the most memorable moment for him. He felt that this was the moment eagerly awaited by vapers, entrepreneurs, and people in the vape industry. Additionally, the total number of visitors at JIVE 2022 reached over 20,000 people from both domestic and international locations, and 170 various local and international vape brands set up booths during the event.

"The event yesterday was incredible! And the most memorable moment for me was the atmosphere when vapers from all over Indonesia and abroad met together at the expo."

"There were also a lot of participants, around 17-20 thousand people in total, plus booths from local and international brands numbering 170, approximately 60% of which were domestic brands, and the other 40% were international brands like SP2, Alladin Pro, Geekvape, Joyway, Smok, and others," he said.

Before JIVE 2022 was held, Rhomedal admitted there were some obstacles, but he remained positive and kept trying. When JIVE 2022 was successfully implemented, the results exceeded his expectations, and he plans to bring JIVE back in 2023.

"Initially, my desire was to cure the longing of vapers. I chose May 28-29, but I was worried because there were talks about a surge in COVID waves after Eid, but I still believed that God would open a way because my intentions were good. Unexpectedly, the JIVE event became the biggest international-scale vape event, bigger than I expected."

"During the closing yesterday, I also announced that there would be JIVE next year. I'm organizing this not for money, but because I want to support vapers, so it's from vapers for vapers. Yesterday we also prepared booths for several associations, including APVI, APEI, APPNINDO, and others," he explained.

Rhomedal said that the domestic vape industry needs various facilities and support from many parties to continue moving forward. He also hopes that business players, communities, and all vapers can strengthen each other so that the vape industry does not shrink.

"An industry needs products, media, events, and people who provide support, because in terms of the market, if there are many people who don't support it, the industry will shrink, but if there are many people who support it, the industry will progress. So, it would be better for people to come together on one plate, set aside personal goals and needs, and collaborate to advance this (vape) industry together," he concluded.
