Vapeboss – A new vape study published in Cochrane, an international non-profit network based in the UK focusing on health issues, involving over 22,000 respondents worldwide and covering 90 other studies, received positive responses from consumers and the domestic vape industry.

Dr. Jamie Hartmann-Boyce, a professor at the University of Oxford and editor of the Cochrane Tobacco Addiction Group, stated that, supported by Cancer Research UK, his team identified and combined the strongest evidence from the most reliable scientific studies available today.

"For the first time, this gives us high-certainty evidence that e-cigarettes are even more effective in helping people quit smoking than traditional nicotine replacement therapies, such as nicotine patches or gum," she said.

In the study, nicotine-containing vapes were found to be 95 percent more effective than tobacco cigarettes and capable of helping people quit their smoking habit.

Dr. Nicola Lindson, a University Research Lecturer from the University of Oxford, explained that e-cigarettes do not show any potentially harmful effects on health as part of the quitting process.

"Although it does not mean they are risk-free, and they are not recommended for children or teenagers," she added.

Recently, the Just RELaX event held in Bandung was attended by many vape consumers. They believe that the study provides motivation in their transition from conventional cigarettes.

"I've read the research results from many media outlets, and it certainly gives me a sense of relief and greater confidence in my choice to switch from tobacco cigarettes to e-cigarettes," said Rizal, who has been vaping for six months.

Meanwhile, another consumer named Aswin, who has been using vapes longer, revealed that the research results also helped him encourage his closest relatives to switch to e-cigarettes.

"Of course, you still have to choose products that have proven quality," he said.
