Vapeboss – The Narcotics Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, along with Soekarno Hatta Airport Customs, successfully uncovered a home industry producing vape liquid containing methamphetamine in the Meruya Utara area, Kembangan, West Jakarta. The police urged the public to be cautious when buying vape liquid.

"I, and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, urge people to be careful when buying liquid in vape form, as it might also contain narcotics of any kind," said the Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, in West Jakarta, Saturday (1/14/2023).

"The distribution or sale process is done online, as mentioned, so be vigilant," he added.

Trunoyudo also asked the public to protect their family members from the dangers of drugs and never to try such illicit substances.

"And also for all members of society, especially families, to protect their respective families from drugs; never try drugs, let's protect all our families," he concluded.

Previously, in the unraveling of this case, one Indonesian citizen (WNI) with the initials MR was arrested along with evidence of 385 bottles of vape liquid containing methamphetamine ready for distribution, with 16 liters of liquid.

"(The suspect is an) Indonesian citizen. One suspect named MR has been secured, and we will develop the case further. The evidence consists of 385 bottles, weighing approximately 16 liters. Ready for distribution. And already prepared for shipping," said the Director of Narcotics for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Mukti Juharsa, in West Jakarta, Saturday (1/14).

Mukti explained that the perpetrator rented a house to produce vape liquid containing methamphetamine and had only occupied the rented house for two days.

"This is a rented house; on Thursday night, around 10:00-11:00 PM, these items were sent to the rented house. So, based on local residents' statements, this has only been two days," he said.
