Vapeboss – On January 15, 2023, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police successfully raided a vape liquid production house containing methamphetamine and apprehended the mastermind behind the case. The police also revealed that the main ingredients originated from Iran.

It is not yet confirmed whether these products were freely sold or were still around the production house in West Jakarta. However, according to the perpetrator's confession, the methamphetamine-laced vape liquid was intended to be sold freely both offline and online.

Regarding this, politician and chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPD, Norman Lianto, hoped that the public would be more careful about methamphetamine-laced vape liquid.

"The perpetrators also marketed this product online. Unfortunately, buyers do not know that the vape liquid contains drugs. This is very dangerous for vapers who inhale its contents. It must be admitted that current drug methods are more cunning and sophisticated," said Norman Lianto, as reported by the Indonesian Solidarity Party's YouTube channel on January 22, 2023.

Norman also reminded vape users to be more vigilant about the sale of narcotic-containing products through e-commerce. This is because there are still indications that the products are freely sold on several online marketplace applications frequently used by the public.

"The discovery of methamphetamine in vape liquid is just the tip of the iceberg of the narcotics problem. Law enforcement officials and the public must always be vigilant about the developing trends and other potential dangers of drugs," said Norman Lianto.
