Vaporesso's Mini series pod variants have always been a hot topic among vapers. Even more so, shortly after the Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini boomed, Vaporesso immediately released its newest series, the XROS 6 Mini.
This situation clearly confuses many people, who start comparing: what are the differences and which one is more worth choosing? Some compare because they are about to buy one, but there are also those who are just curious about the differences.
This time, Vapeboss will thoroughly compare the Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini vs Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini. The goal is simple: to make it easier for you to decide from just one article without having to open many tabs!
Let's directly compare the differences between the two based on the following comparison points.
At first glance, the design differences between the two are not too noticeable. But if you look closer, there are differences in the tidal LED light. The Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini uses a 4-bar indicator, while the XROS 6 Mini comes with 5 bars for the battery indicator.
If placed side-by-side, the body of the XROS 6 Mini also appears slightly larger than the XROS 5 Mini.
In terms of weight, the XROS 6 Mini feels slightly more solid and substantial in hand. This difference is reasonable considering the upgrade in battery capacity, which we will discuss in the next point.
As previously mentioned, the difference in battery capacity affects the body size of each device.
The Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini is equipped with a 1500mAh battery, while the Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini is slightly superior with 1600mAh.
Although the difference is not too significant, the battery life of both is generally long-lasting and can last 4 to 5 days, depending on how intense your daily use is.
Now, this part is one of the most interesting differentiators. The Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini brings one of the excellent features from its regular variant that the XROS 5 Mini does not yet have.
With the XROS 5 Mini, you still have to wait the standard priming time of about 10–15 minutes after filling with new liquid. Meanwhile, the XROS 6 Mini already features 60s Priming Coil technology; you only need to wait 1 minute, and the liquid will be fully absorbed and ready for you to puff.
For operation, both pods use an auto-draw system. The concept is designed to be very simple, without buttons or screens, so you just inhale when you want to use it.

For output power, both support a maximum power of up to 30W. This power level cannot be adjusted manually because the Mini version is not equipped with an adjustable power feature.
The power will adjust automatically to the resistance of the cartridge being used thanks to the Smart Wattage Detection system.
As an illustration:
0.8Ω Cartridge: Power is automatically set in the range of 12W–16W, ideal for MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) vaping style.
0.6Ω Cartridge: Power is adjusted to the range of 20W–24W for RDL (Restricted Direct-to-Lung) draw.
0.4Ω Cartridge: Power is pushed to a maximum of 25W–30W, perfect if you use freebase liquid to produce thicker vapor (cloud).
Regarding cartridges, both pods use the exact same XROS series cartridge ecosystem. The resistance options are also very complete, ranging from 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω, to 1.2Ω, so you can freely adjust it to your vaping style or favorite liquid type.
These cartridges are equipped with Corex 3.0 technology, which focuses on producing a sharper, more consistent flavor and longer coil life. Plus, they feature SSS Leak-Resistant Tech for protection against leaks.
Because it was released earlier, the Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini has a much wider range of color options. There are a total of about 18 color choices you can pick from, including special editions in collaboration with BimoPD.
Meanwhile, the Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini currently comes with a total of 13 color variants. This number also includes the collaborative edition variants with BimoPD, which carry a distinct Y2K aesthetic concept.
In terms of price, the difference between the two is very slim, only about Rp 5,000.
The regular version of the Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini is priced at Rp 190,000, while the special BimoPD collaboration edition sells for Rp 215,000.
Meanwhile, the regular version of the Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini is marketed at Rp 195,000, and the limited edition XROS 6 Mini x BimoPD variant is priced at Rp 220,000.
Both already come bundled with 15ml of liquid with every purchase.
