Vapeboss – Sub ohm vaping, or more commonly known as sub ohming, is a style of vaping that produces a lot of vapor. It's called sub ohm because it uses coils with resistance below 1 ohm. The vape devices used also require power of at least 40 watts up to more than 200 watts, such as mod systems.

Nowadays, the term sub ohming is rarely used by many vapers because there are many sub ohming vape products on the market. Some are sold as mods only, while others come as kits (ready to use). To do sub ohming, the best combo is a high-power mod and an RDA (dual coil variants are recommended).

Besides producing a lot of vapor, sub ohming also has several other advantages, such as:

Thicker flavor, low sub-ohm coils can vaporize a lot of e-liquid at once, resulting in a thicker flavor.

Smoother airflow, for sub ohming, the airflow needs to be opened wider, so the airflow when inhaled will be smoother and quickly cool down the coil again.

Bigger and thicker vapor, of course, this is the most important advantage of sub ohming, as bigger and thicker vapor can add prestige to certain vapers, and can even be used for competitive scales like cloud chasing competitions.

Now that the advantages above have been mentioned, here are some ways you can do sub ohming:

Use appropriate batteries, buy and use batteries with high amperage ratings as they are suitable for high wattage use.

Keep the airflow open, most sub-ohm vape devices have adjustable airflow. Generally, wide-open airflow will produce large, thick, and abundant vapor.

Use high VG e-liquid, the higher the VG content in the e-liquid, the more vapor it will produce.

Use a mod with power above 40 watts, high-power mods are needed for sub ohming (usually, mods with two batteries). Because higher power will make a big difference in vapor volume.

Apply strong and fast draws, along with open airflow, applying draws with speed and strength will increase vapor production.

Use coils below 0.5 ohm, the lower the coil resistance, the better it can handle high wattage. Automatically, lower coil resistance can produce more vapor.

Those are tips for getting more, bigger, and thicker vape vapor. Hopefully, this information can be useful. See you in the next article!
