Vapeboss – Electric cigarettes, or what we know better as vapes, are now starting to be popular among many Indonesian people. This product is considered 95% safer than conventional cigarettes and can be a good alternative for smokers to switch.

Before this product could be widely known, there was a need for someone to introduce vape to the public. This person is usually called a vape reviewer or vape introducer. Zaki, the owner of the YouTube channel Fakir Liquid with hundreds of thousands of subscribers, is one of them.

In 2017, he started the channel with his office friends with the aim of introducing various vape products and as a reference for vapers when shopping for vapes. Until now, the Fakir Liquid YouTube channel is still actively creating content reviewing and introducing vape products.

Zaki himself admits that he has known about vapes since 2014 and started fully switching to vaping in 2017. The reason he switched was because he felt something different after vaping, especially regarding his body's health.

"I actually first knew about vape in 2014, then started fully vaping in 2017, so in 2014 I was still hybrid, and from 2017 until now, thank God, I've been fully vaping," said Zaki.

"Actually, at first, I was just curious, you know, seeing people doing it seemed fun, so I tried it, and it turned out there were various flavors, and what I felt in my body was much better and lighter. Before vaping, I used to cough every morning, but since switching, I never do. I also had a medical check-up recently, and everything was fine, my lungs are also clean," he added.

Zaki said that he enjoys being a vape reviewer because it allows him to meet new people and get to know people he never thought he would. However, sometimes many people still have negative perceptions of him for certain reasons.

"Well, there are ups and downs, you know. The ups are meeting many people, meeting new people, and getting to know people closely whom I never thought I could know. The downs are sometimes being seen negatively by narrow-minded people, like; 'oh, you never talk about bad products'," he said.

"Whereas, if there's something bad, I wouldn't put it on YouTube, there's no benefit for us, right? So even if I get a product that's not suitable, I always tell the producer to revise it. Actually, I always say that my review is subjective because everyone's vaping settings are different, and their taste palates are also different," Zaki explained.

Throughout his involvement in the vape world, Zaki has collaborated with several vape brands to create vape products that vapers can enjoy. Zaki's first work was a liquid, in collaboration with Vapezoo, to produce a liquid called Lunar Eclipse with a Dessert Box flavor. Then, he launched an RDA product called Alexa Z, in collaboration with Inhale.

Zaki also advised Indonesian vapers that in this era of vaping, they can explore many flavors of vape that they like because everything is easy. In addition, never accept vape products whose origins are unclear; if possible, refuse and report them to the authorities.

"My message for Indonesian vapers is, the bottom line is that everything is very easy now. The most important thing for people who are currently vaping is to explore what kind of vape flavors they like. And what I emphasize the most is, for example, if someone offers strange liquids, don't accept them, and if possible, report them to the authorities, because due to such people, the name of vape becomes negative because of a handful of irresponsible people," he concluded.
