Vapeboss – It's no secret that storing vape liquid in a dark and cool place will optimize its lifespan. However, sometimes we also wonder if we can freeze the liquid in the refrigerator to make it last longer?

Perhaps some vapers want to try liquid with a different flavor but are reluctant to discard their remaining liquid, which leads to this question. Therefore, in this article, we will provide some answers, so make sure to read until the end!

Can vape liquid be frozen?

The short answer is, yes, it can. However, vape liquid has a different freezing point than other liquids. Why is that? Because there are several ingredients used in the liquid formula such as PG (Propylene Glycol), VG (Vegetable Glycerin), nicotine, flavorings, and artificial sweeteners. All of these ingredients have very different freezing points.

What is the freezing point of vape liquid?

The base of every vape liquid contains various ratios of PG and VG, and these two ingredients will have the most significant impact on the freezing of the liquid. More specifically, VG will freeze completely at around -38 degrees Celsius, and PG at around -59 degrees Celsius. As we know, the proportions of these two ingredients are usually in ratios of 50:50, 60:40, and 70:30. So, there are specific conditions and temperature calculations for the liquid to freeze perfectly.

Conclusion

Vape liquid can technically freeze and be frozen, but so far, this has not been observed unless by people deliberately experimenting, curious individuals trying things out, or vapers living in countries with extreme temperatures.

For your information, freezing liquid is not recommended as it negatively impacts the quality of the product.
