Many vapers intentionally choose cold freebase liquid not just for the fresh taste, but to "tame" the throat hit of freebase nicotine so it isn't too scratchy on the throat.

The hope is that the ice or menthol sensation will make the draw feel cooler and smoother. But in reality, instead of being cooling, they often encounter cold liquid that feels "piercingly" cold to the point of causing coughing.

In fact, the right cold freebase liquid should have a refreshing ice sensation to dampen the nicotine scratchiness, while keeping the draw smooth and comfortable on the throat.

Recommended Cold Freebase Liquids

For those of you looking for a fresh, cold sensation without torturing your throat, here are recommendations for cold freebase liquids that are smooth and won't make you cough!

1. Rokbar Twister Ice Cream

It might look like just an ordinary ice cream liquid, but you have to try it to know just how complex and delicious it is.

Rokbar's Twister Ice Cream is different because it combines a variety of flavors, starting from vanilla, strawberry, pineapple, lime, and lemongrass in a perfect blend. The layering of all the flavors is balanced and consistent from start to finish.

The best part is that even though it’s an ice cream flavor, the cold sensation is almost imperceptible, and the nicotine is smooth, allowing more focus on the bold dessert taste.

2. American Fruity Mango Smoothies

If you're looking for a cold freebase liquid with fruit flavors, then you really must try American Fruity Mango Smoothies.

The mango flavor is pure and straightforward, with just a slight hint of creaminess from a blended mango smoothie. The typical mango used is the 'manalagi' variety, which is naturally sweet and fresh.

As for the level of coldness, American Fruity Mango Smoothies is still very safe and won't make you cough. Essentially, it’s comfortable for daily use. Priced around 130 thousand IDR, so it’s still very affordable.

3. Furla Ice Cream With Cookie Crumbs

When it comes to ice cream liquid, Furla is the best. Almost none of their ice cream liquid flavors disappoint, so if you want to try a cold creamy liquid that is safe, you'd better try this Furla Ice Cream With Cookie Crumbs.

The creamy character of the vanilla ice cream is bold, combined with cookie crumbs that provide a soft, sweet cookie flavor, plus there is a crunchy sensation when it enters your mouth.

The cold level is still very safe, with just a slight, subtle cooling effect. It's just right for balancing the nicotine scratch in the throat without making you cough. The price is around 160 thousand IDR.

4. Hero57 Grape Berry

Back to cold fruity freebase liquid, this time we have Grape Berry made by Hero57. The grape flavor profile is genuinely clean and provides maximum freshness.

The base is essentially a sweet grape flavor without any sourness, combined with berry as an aromatic that makes the scent even more fragrant when puffed.

Grape Berry is one of the legendary fruity liquids. Among the other recommendations, this liquid is indeed the coldest, but don't worry, the coldness is still perfect for refreshing the throat and won't make you cough. It’s priced at around 140 thousand IDR.

5. Crackz Ice V8 Matcha Ice Cream

When it comes to drinks, not everyone likes the taste of matcha. But when turned into a liquid, matcha actually becomes one of the most sought-after flavors.

One that you must try is Crackz V8 Matcha Ice Cream. The typical matcha flavor is creamy because it’s combined with vanilla ice cream; if I had to describe it, it tastes exactly like a matcha McFlurry.

This liquid has a fairly bold cold sensation. So, if you want to get a balanced nicotine and cooling sensation, you can choose 6mg nicotine. The price is in the 140 thousand IDR range.
