Hello Big Boss!! How are you today? Hope you're always healthy, your sustenance flows smoothly, and all your activities are made easy!

As is well known, the number of vape consumers in Indonesia has increased significantly. Of course, with this increase, most consumers desire to experience a different sensation or something new compared to conventional cigarettes.

In addition, the reason consumers switch is that e-cigarettes are safer than cigarettes. Thus, consumers want clear and the best quality from the vape industry.

“The e-cigarette phenomenon actually helps many people switch or even quit smoking tobacco. However, at the same time, e-cigarette consumers also “demand” quality commensurate with the risk of having left conventional cigarettes, including for those who are just trying it out,” said Hokkop Situngkir, Chairman of Organized Vape Consumers (KONVO).

Currently, consumers are also becoming smarter and more careful in choosing and consuming e-cigarettes. Therefore, what kind of quality do consumers want in this product, especially e-cigarettes?

“First, of course, the device. Now there are many choices that can be adjusted to consumer needs. We all know there are two types of vapes, namely open and closed systems. Even so, all device manufacturers must use machines of good and appropriate quality for consumer safety. Even devices with clear standards will attract more consumer attention,” Hokkop explained.

E-cigarettes themselves do not only consist of devices, but there are other additions such as liquids, which vary greatly, only differentiated by their nicotine level. The advantage of these liquids is that some people are not bothered by the aroma of the vapor produced, unlike cigarettes.

According to Hokkop, for many people, e-cigarettes are a means for them to quit smoking. Perhaps at first, people will find it difficult if they immediately use nicotine liquid to reduce nicotine addiction. However, gradually the nicotine level can be lowered until there is no nicotine at all. This will be more effective in making people quit slowly and not feel forced to quit, and consumers will also get a different quality vaping experience.

The government supports this with SNI regulations, and this has an impact such as burdening the selling price of vapes, but vape products will be more supervised, safer, and of higher quality.

“The main consumer need is the best quality and product safety. If manufacturers can provide both, then it's a win not only for their consumers, right?” Hokkop concluded.
