Vapeboss – The domestic vape industry continues to grow each year. This is certainly a concern for the Indonesian Vape Retail Association (ARVINDO) as one of the e-cigarette associations in Indonesia.

ARVINDO Chairman, Firmansyah Siregar, often called Awing, said that his organization has been asked to hold an audience with policymakers to support the domestic vape industry ecosystem. In addition, as an effort to develop human resources, he and ARVINDO are actively socializing with vape retailers in various regions.

"We want vape shops or retailers not just to rent a place, open a place, buy goods, and wait for customers, but also to manage them well. I want to grow together, advance together," said Awing.

He believes that vaporists in Indonesia are continuously striving to educate new vapers, and this aligns with ARVINDO's goals. Therefore, Awing emphasized that every vape retail outlet should continue to develop its human resources to always be ready to face the evolving vape industry that grows each year.

Awing also stated that the domestic vape industry, which falls under the MSME sector, is also capable of answering existing challenges. He stressed that a handful of parties, both individuals and foreign entities, should not dominate this burgeoning industry.

"We cannot just focus on industrial development. We must also focus on how industrial development uplifts and brings good to all its actors, not just a handful of people or foreign parties," Awing explained.

Currently, ARVINDO continues to support policymakers in forming vape regulations in Indonesia so that the domestic vape industry, along with related parties, can be protected by clear laws. Awing also hopes that the regulations currently being formed do not disregard the MSME sector of the vape industry.

"ARVINDO's hope is that the development of the industry does not ignore related MSMEs. So we want everyone to progress together," he concluded.
