Vapeboss – Veteran British band, Coldplay, will soon visit several Southeast Asian countries for a concert. Besides Indonesia, Coldplay will also come to Malaysia on November 22, Mother.
However, the Coldplay concert has faced calls for cancellation from several groups. In Indonesia, these calls came from the 212 group.
Similar calls have also emerged in Malaysia. The Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) urged for the cancellation of the Coldplay concert scheduled to be held at the National Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur on November 22.
Malaysian politician from PAS, Nasruddin Hassan, has been the most vocal in opposing the Coldplay concert in his country. He had previously uploaded several screenshots from Twitter accounts to express why the concert should be cancelled.
The rejection of the Coldplay concert has become a pro and con issue in Malaysia. At least, government officials have spoken out regarding the calls to cancel the concert of the band formed in 1997.
Chris Martin apparently knows about the calls to cancel the Coldplay concert, Mother. In an interview with Malaysian radio station HITZ, Chris Martin expressed his views on the rejection.
"Every time I meet Malaysians, I feel love and warmth. Everyone is welcome to come to our concert. We love all kinds of people, all religions," said Chris Martin, as quoted from the NME website, Thursday (25/5/2023).
