Vapeboss – Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani has officially issued regulations on the price of e-cigarettes. This is stipulated in Minister of Finance Regulation Number 192/PMK.010/2022 concerning Amendments to Minister of Finance Regulation Number 193/PMK.010/2021 concerning Excise Tariffs on Tobacco Products in the form of E-cigarettes and Other Processed Tobacco Products.

The following are the latest retail selling prices that will be effective starting January 1, 2023:

E-cigarettes:

• Solid E-cigarettes, The retail selling price of solid e-cigarettes per gram will be a minimum of Rp 5,527, up from Rp 5,190 in 2022. Meanwhile, the excise duty for 2023 will increase to Rp 2,886 per gram compared to Rp 2,710 per gram this year.
• Open System Liquid E-cigarettes, The minimum retail selling price of open system liquid e-cigarettes per milliliter will be Rp 938 starting in 2023, up from Rp 785 this year. Meanwhile, the excise duty for 2023 will be Rp 532 per milliliter compared to Rp 445 per milliliter this year.
• Closed System Liquid E-cigarettes, The minimum retail selling price of closed system liquid e-cigarettes per cartridge will be Rp 37,365 starting next year, up from Rp 35,250 in 2022. Meanwhile, the excise duty for 2023 will be Rp 6,392 per cartridge compared to Rp 6,030 per cartridge this year.

Other Processed Tobacco Products:

• Molasses Tobacco, The retail selling price of molasses tobacco per gram will be Rp 228 starting in 2023, up from Rp 215 this year. Meanwhile, the excise duty for 2023 will be Rp 127 per gram compared to Rp 120 per gram this year.
• Snuff Tobacco, The retail price of snuff tobacco in 2023 and its excise duty will experience the same increase as molasses tobacco.
• Chewing Tobacco, Chewing tobacco will increase starting in 2023 by the same amount as molasses and snuff tobacco.
