Vapeboss – Hello vapers! The Jakarta International Vape Expo (JIVE) 2023 was successfully held on June 3-4, 2023, at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta. The organizer and founder of Vapepackers Indonesia, Rhomedal Aquino, stated that the event was more crowded with both visitors and exhibitors compared to JIVE 2022.

"JIVE this year turned out to be more crowded than last year, even on the first day in the afternoon, there were already so many visitors, and there were also more than 200 exhibitors, a 50/50 split between local and international exhibitors," said Rhomedal.

Rhomedal believes that the theme carried for JIVE, 'Vapers' People's Party,' aims to establish JIVE as a platform where vapers can celebrate. Inspired by the Jakarta Fair or Jakarta People's Party, which is held for the people of Jakarta, the theme 'Vapers' People's Party' was created by Rhomedal for the public, especially vapers in Jakarta and Indonesia.

"The theme 'Vapers' People's Party' was indeed created to align with vapers in Jakarta and Indonesia. In Jakarta, there is a grand event called the Jakarta Fair or Jakarta People's Party, which is always eagerly awaited by its people. So, we created this 'Vapers' People's Party' theme to resonate more with vapers," he said.

Nevertheless, Rhomedal admitted that he faced many challenges when conceptualizing JIVE 2023, but he is grateful because there were lessons he could learn from these challenges.

"The challenge of holding JIVE 2023 this time was quite tough for me. I wanted to show that local brands are better by having fewer foreign exhibitors so that local brands could get a place. But I am very grateful to God for the smooth running of the event. There are also lessons I can learn from this; it turns out that Indonesian brands can become even greater," said Rhomedal.

From the success of JIVE, which has been held for the past 2 years, Rhomedal wants to make JIVE an annual event. This is so that the Vapers' People's Party does not simply stop and will continue to be loved and anticipated by vapers in the country.

"For the future, I want to make JIVE an annual event that will be held every year. I also want this Vapers' People's Party to be increasingly loved and anticipated by vapers," he concluded.
