Hello Bigboss!! You probably don't know that in our neighboring country, India, the use of electronic cigarettes or vapes is strictly prohibited by the Indian Government for various reasons. Therefore, many people who have switched to vape products are rejecting the ban. Here is an article that discusses the news,

The Association of Vapers India (AVI India) has called the e-cigarette ban, which has been in effect in India for the past year, a violation of democracy. They recently held virtual protests in Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.

"The government must remember that in a democracy, the people must come first. With the intellectual and scientific thinking India possesses, it is disappointing that the e-cigarette ban was implemented," said Jagannath Saranagapani, Director of AVI Hyderabad.

"By removing access to alternative tobacco harm reduction products, the government has also done nothing to develop other affordable alternative nicotine products that can help smokers quit. What's more hypocritical is that they also banned e-cigarette research. This shows that the hasty and drastic measures taken by the government are only to protect the cigarette industry," he added.

The virtually coordinated protest was also attended by ex-smokers, vapers, and their family members, along with health, legal, and global advocacy experts. The protesters highlighted the impact of the ban on their lives and urged the government to hold a dialogue with all stakeholders, including consumers, to allow research on vaping products to understand their potential as harm reduction products.

Highlighting 10 main reasons why the vape ban failed in India, the consumer body wrote a letter to Indian Members of Parliament urging intervention against the ban policy. They highlighted the large number of vapers who were forced to return to smoking due to the e-cigarette ban in India. The ban also fostered a black market for illegal e-cigarette products.

"If the ban aims to protect young people from e-cigarettes, the fact is that illegal products are still available on the black market. This actually puts users at greater risk," said Samrat Chowdhery, Director of AVI India.

"There are no checks and balances to prevent access to products by adolescents. For this, sensible regulation is needed, not a ban."

So that's the news about the Vape Ban in India. Of course, if we return home, specifically to Indonesia, the government does not prohibit us from using this product, but we must also understand the correct vaping etiquette and always comply with the rules. The vape market in Indonesia has also begun to grow and develop, one of which is Vapeboss. Vapeboss is the most complete and trusted vape store since 2014, so your vape needs are definitely available there. Just come to the nearest retail store and you can find a variety of vape products.

Hopefully, this article can provide useful information. Always stay safe while vaping, Keep Calm and Vape Like a Boss. Don't forget to always comply with health protocols during the current pandemic. Have a nice day Bigboss!
