According to the community within the Indonesian Vapers Alliance (AVI), this is useful for countering hoaxes related to alternative tobacco products.

The Chairman of the Indonesian Vapers Alliance (AVI), Johan Sumantri, stated that the dangers posed by cigarettes can be reduced with alternative tobacco products. However, he requested that these products not be misused by children, pregnant women, or non-smokers.

The reason is that these products are the result of technological development and innovation intended as an alternative for adult smokers to quit their smoking habits. Johan also cited a statement from the UK Department of Health, which aims for the country to be smoke-free by 2030.

"The UK Department of Health will encourage one million adult smokers to switch to alternative tobacco products, especially e-cigarettes or vapes. Meanwhile, for pregnant women who smoke, the UK Government will offer additional financial incentives to help them quit smoking," he explained.

On the other hand, the Secretary-General of the Indonesian Personal Vaporizer Association (APVI), Garindra Kartasasmita, said that society is now increasingly aware of the health risks posed by cigarettes. Therefore, he hopes that information about alternative tobacco products can be disseminated widely.

"We hope the government is objective in its research on alternative tobacco products so that the public receives accurate information," said Garindra.
